Between the Cracks realizes the importance of representing people of various backgrounds in front and behind the camera.

IN FRONT OF THE caMERA

In front of the camera, our feature film provides a spotlight for Black people, Latinos, Asians, and people with developmental disabilities.

Furthermore, the main cast is 65 percent female, including the lead. Having such a diverse cast provides a great resource in original material and often increases the fanbase, which in turn translates to more revenue. According to the 2022 Hollywood Diversity Report conducted by UCLA, new evidence suggests that America’s increasingly diverse audiences prefer diverse film content. For proof, one need look no further than successful films such as “Everything Everywhere All At Once” ($97 Million), “Get Out,” ($255 Million), and “Black Panther” ($1.3 Billion)

BEHIND THE caMERA

BETWEEN THE CRACKS is committed to hiring crew from diverse walks of life, and equally diverse in talents and skills sets. In surfacing this nuanced approach to every facet of production, representation in Hollywood will have a far louder voice. Our expert, best-in-class crew, representative of film professionals from all walks of life and around the world, will be reflected in the overall look, feel and direction of the film from set design to lighting, costuming and sound.

BETWEEN THE CRACKS is rich in historical, spiritual, and cultural themes and content. The feature draws inspiration spanning legends of ancient Kush to contemporary socio-political issues. As the rich tapestry of the human experience is reflected at various points throughout the film, so it is in the manifold talent of our cast and crew.

Whether behind the camera or in front, diversity brings new approaches and new perspectives that ultimately enhance the film’s presentation or story.

DIVERsiTY

“Diversity is about the inclusion of all walks of life to tell unique stories that could not be imagined by one perspective alone. We in Hollywood must venture to tell stories of all cultures, genders, races/ The only way we can do so is to have diverse people in front of and behind the camera to ensure the authenticity of our stories.

"Between the Cracks continues the diverse trend by spotlighting what happens in a group home for the developmentally disabled but puts it in a horror setting.”
